Google Pay at checkout
How to turn on the Google Pay button for your customers — what you need first, what you agree to, and how to switch it off.
Google Pay adds a one-tap payment button to your checkout page. A customer who already has a card saved with Google pays with a single tap, without typing the number, the expiry date or the security code.
It is not a new processor
Google Pay does not take the payment itself: it hands RedBox the card the customer had already saved, and the charge still runs through your own Azul account. The money arrives the same way, to the same place, on the same schedule. The only thing that changes is how much the customer has to type.
Before you start
- An active paid licence. Integrations unlock with it.
- The
Administrar integracionespermission on your user. - Your Azul integration already configured, with its Merchant ID saved. If you do not have it yet, start with Online payments with Azul — Google Pay cannot be turned on without it.
Turning it on
Go to Integrations → Google Pay
If you have not connected Azul yet, the Google Pay card shows greyed out and reads Requiere Azul. That is not an error or a permissions problem — it is the requirement above.
Read the Google Pay Terms of Service
The link is on the page. These are Google's seller terms, and the agreement is between your business and Google — RedBox is not a party to it. That is why we cannot accept them on your behalf.
Tick the box and activate
The Activar button stays disabled until you confirm you have read and accepted the terms. Activating records who did it and when.
What changes for your customers
The Google Pay button appears on the payment page, above the card form, on every online charge: reservations, RedBox Order, and order payment links.
Only customers whose device and browser support Google Pay, and who have at least one card saved, will see it. Everyone else sees the usual card form, unchanged. Nobody is left unable to pay.
Switching it off
On the same page, Desactivar. The button disappears from the checkout immediately and your customers go back to the card form. You do not have to accept the terms again if you turn it back on later.
